Mark Conley is an Associate Professor in teacher education. His recent work is about curriculum standards and assessment and how literacy can be used to forge connections within classroom practice. Most notably, he has studied the relationships between adolescent literacy and new demands for accountability. He also conducts research on adolescents and literacy in urban contexts.
